SO SERIOUS surpasses 500k streams on Spotify

The Survival Code are a London based rock duo with a passion for RIFFS,SOARING MELODIES, BANGIN’ DRUMS and some of the most energetic live shows you’ll ever see.

“SO SERIOUS” is from the EP “Crosses To Carry, Coffins To Fill” released through “Good Deeds Music Ltd” in July 2019. The song has gone onto be the most successful from the band and passed 500k streams on Spotify recently. To celebrate the band are re-releasing the video with a new filter which was originally skillfully shot, edited and directed by the marvellous Marianne Harris in May 2019 in Wood Green London

To celebrate the momentous feat of half a million streams the band added a “comic feel” to the existing video with a view of offering a fresh take on one of their favourite videos and with a hope to reach some new eyes and ears. The editing of the video with its different moving windows have always lent themselves to a comic book feel and it feels the story comes more to life with it

Song Lyrics :

Hello, still me, it's never been easy

Been here so long, starting to be creepy

Master of predicting the past

Lost your way, struggling to find your way back

Deny the things in plain sight

Taking the joy from every ride

Right or wrong, you're just half the man I used to know

Time to destress, no need to be so serious, why so serious?

Puppets noosed on a string

Out to dry like yesterday's topics

On which side will the coin land?

Hoping there's a way to make you see sense

Deny the things in plain sight

Taking the joy from every ride, for the last time

Right or wrong, you're just half the man I used to know

Time to destress, no need to be so serious, so serious

Right or wrong, you're just half the man I used to know (Why so serious?)

Time to destress, no need to be so serious (Why so serious?)

Right or wrong (Why so serious?) You're just half the man I used to know (Why so serious?)

Time to destress (Why so serious?) No need to be so serious

Why so serious?
