The Decisions I Have Made

It’s not your fault, time just ran out, you missed your chance To wakeup with a new life, a clear mind, with dreams that last Time is so unforgiving it took my chances away Worked so hard and, got so far then, it was gone, now its time to move on

Give me a reason to stay or go I’m questioning every thought in my head It doesn’t get easier the next time around Like they said it would

The decisions I have made Have taken my soul So I justify to myself who I’ve become With no point in tomorrow, I still wish for one day I could never have it all, but all I ever did was take Fill my pockets with, more than I could ever hold Fill my coffin with, what’s left when I’m old, I’m old.

VII

Mystified, you look bleary eyed, it was never close to being fair Beaten in to submission and left lacking re-spect This life owes me, no one owns me, is how you feel these days You worked so hard and got so far Then it was gone. Now it’s time to move on

The decisions I have made Have taken my soul So I justify to who I am and what I’ve become With no point in tomorrow, and a wish for one day I could never have it all, but all I ever did was take Fill my pockets with, more than I could ever hold Fill my coffin with, what’s left when I’m old, I’m old.
